Hey femme fatales ,
The
biggest issue for many females is often choosing what to wear from
the million pieces they have stored in their closets, and for the
others, it's definitely more about trying to choose between what was
worn last week and the outfit from three weeks ago. We've all been
there....
Hey
femmes, it's really no big deal to repeat your clothes. Normal people
rarely own a closet that's the size of a clothing store, and neither do
they have the money to purchase a new item everyday to avoid
repetition... So, just get over the stigma; you don't need to wear
something new all the time to look good or feel good about your outfit.
For
the ladies who wear a new outfit everyday, kudos to you sista, but if
you're anything like me and spend hours in the closet trying to find
something to wear, then I have a few tips in mind, that may help when
you just have to repeat a piece.
Tip 1.
When
purchasing outfits, avoid items that specifically coordinate with each
other. That way, you can get to mix and match the older with the more
recent.
Tip 2.
Don't
be afraid to DIY: wear your clothes, and when you feel like you're over
them, get on YouTube, find something you like, and transform them into
new, trendy pieces.
Tip 3.
This
goes hand-in-hand with 'Tip 2'; do not throw away old clothes, hand
them down. You could donate them to charity, give them to a younger
family member, or put them away for a while. Fashion is repetitive, so
you're bound to find some of your old pieces in style again.
Tip 4.
This
final tip is possibly the most important: SWITCH UP YOUR ACCESSORIES.
You'd be surprised by how different a piece can look if you just changed
the purse or the necklace you usually wear with it.
