here again with another quick DIY. This one was requested by one of my blog viewers who explained to me that she has a skin condition and would like me to do something that would cover her back but yet still be trendy enough to rock for the summer. I can definitely relate to skin conditions and how annoying they get sometimes ,especially when they prohibit us from wearing exactly what we want to wear .This one is really easy and I hope you guys like it !

STEP 1.
Source a white t-shirt, preferably a small one that fits you well.
STEP 2.
Source another piece of material .Colour of your choice .I got this material from a plaid shirt that I was through with .Cut your material in a box shape to somewhat match the back of your white t-shirt .Size it up with the back of your tee.
STEP 3.
Flip your white t-shirt to the back .Cut the sides of your white t-shirt about 5 inches up, and then cut across .You should end up with something like this .

STEP 4.
You are almost done .Now you're going to sew the material to the back of your white t-shirt .I would suggest using a sewing machine if you have one, but using your hand is fine like I did.

 STEP 5 .
You are done! ,all you need to do now is fold the arms and style it however you want to .


I tied the front of mine ,but if that isn't your style you can leave it just how it is :). I hope this was helpful .Thank you to all my supporters btw, I really appreciate the love.

so recently I posted on my Instagram this top I made and I promised that I would show you guys how I did it on here ,so before anyone else attacks me about why I haven't made that post yet lets get right into it .It is super easy but it does require a little sewing .....just a little bit :p .

STEP 1.
Source your material .Preferable something that has a wool like texture,maybe an old sweater could do too.It definitely doesn't have to be a lot of fabric .

STEP 2.
Try to cut your fabric into a rectangular shape .

STEP 3.
Begin cutting out your neckline from the center of the fabric  .


 STEP 4.
Once you've got the neckline down you can begin cutting out where your arms will go and how the fabric will wrap around your body .I would suggest placing the fabric against your body each time you make a new cut just so you know exactly what you're doing especially if this is the only fabric you've got.Should look a little like this......

Continue cutting straight across ......and you should end up with something looking like this .

Your top is almost finished! .....kinda ish :/,you just need to add your straps which is where the sewing comes in and if you want your top to look exactly like mine ,I added a cross pattern in the back and this does require a little more work.
STEP 5 .
Sew on your straps to the neckline of your top .Doesn't have to be super neat at this point because you will have to clip off the excess when you're done.

Time for the hardest part which is the back of your top.
STEP 6 .
For this step you will need a string probably over 24 inches and 6 other tiny strings for the cross pattern that will be in the back .
























Sew the little tiny strings on the inside of your top at the back . Three (3) on each side .
When you're done,your top should look like this.
 STEP 7.
Now you can insert your string between the loops to create your cross pattern however you want it.
Once you've done that your top is finally done :). Just remember to trim up and cut off the excess material .
A video would have probably been better to understand but none the less I still hope this was helpful for you guys .

So I know I've been M.I.A over the holiday and its been two weeks since I've made a post; no I have not forgotten about you guys ,I've just been a little caught up ,so please forgive me .
It was a hectic Easter weekend ,my friend visited and she had me all over the place going to these different events ,if you follow me on Instagram you'll probably know what I'm talking about .
However while I was up and down , going to these different places I think I was more excited about what I was wearing rather than the actual parties lol . I got a few new things added to my wardrobe which I happened to really like .

DIY Upcycled Top 

 I got so many compliments on this top and so many people were asking me where I bought it when actually this was a dress ( yes dress ) that i got from forever21 long ago .The cross pattern in the front was actually the back of the dress which I flipped and made it the front of the shirt .I cut the sides off and used an elastic clothing band which I cut into 6 strips and sewed it to the sides of the top.3 on each side .

So summer is around the corner and very soon every girl is going to be in a mad rush to find the perfect swimsuit or just any cute fun outfit that you may want to wear on the beach or to a party.If you're looking for something good its probably going to cost you a fortune ;( ,and if you know anything about me , you'll know that I am not going to spend a million dollars on a piece of cloth -.-; In addition to that I'm very resourceful ,thrifty and I'm married to my scissors lol. Here is a simple way you can transform ONE skirt into three or more outfits :)

Did I pull it off ?

STEP 1.
Go into your closet and try to find a skirt you can sacrifice cutting . Preferably something like a skater skirt .

STEP 2.
Get a pair of scissors and cut the end of the skirt in the same manner I did below .
STEP 3.
 Now cut that strip .You can cut it at any point so don't worry about messing it up.






                                                     AND YOU'RE DONE !

 You now have a skirt and a top. You can wrap this material which you have cut from the skirt into any style you like . Just be creative,open minded and trust your instinct.

" Why did you go natural ?" - this question is thrown at me all the time . Well i can honestly say that the reason i decided to go natural is because i was frustrated with the process of getting my hair relaxed every six weeks. My scalp is very sensitive due to the fact that I have mild eczema in my scalp .Yes ,real girl ,with real problems . Didn't matter what relaxer i used ,it would always burn like crazy! And in addition to that, my hair had been processed for years.I had my first relaxer at age 7. I didn't remember anything about my natural hair . My only memory of it was that it was really thick and i would hide whenever it was 'wash day' lol . Here's a little timeline of my hair journey along with my current hair products .

Tips for going natural :
Tip 1. have a good reason ,lol don't go natural because it's trending ,do it because it's something that YOU want to do .That way you will be more prepared for the challenges that come with it .
Tip 2. Do not let anyone discourage you ,trust me i faced a lot of discouragement when i decided to go natural .
 Tip 3 .Its rough! ,getting to know your hair can be really frustrating ,but eventually you will definitely get the hang of it,watch a lot of youtube videos ,that's what i did .
Tip 4. Accept your hair for what it is,not everyone is gonna have wavy natural hair ,a lot of girls go natural thinking that they are gonna have a wavy texture,then they get disappointed and all that, so femmes ensure that you have a good reason for going natural .

So two weeks ago I shared a simple home remedy that I use to get rid of my acne scars ,however today I'm sharing another home remedy to help control acne breakouts.
What's cuter than having a face covered in pimples -.- ..........Everything. When I started high school I struggled for probably 3 years with acne, it was really embarrassing because the other kids had faces that were smoother than a babies butt . This was the only thing that seemed to work for me :)

BAKING SODA
 
How to do this ?
You simply make a paste by adding two/three table spoons of water with two table spoons of baking soda .
This paste is used to exfoliate the skin,removing dead skin cells and dirt . I usually just use this as a scrub but you can also just simply apply it directly to your pimples for about 10 -15 minutes and then rinse it off .

Tips for using this :
Tip 1. Baking soda can be very drying to your skin,so after using this you may want to moisturize your face .I personally use olive oil.
Tip 2. Some people leave this on overnight ,you can but I wouldn't advise you to because as I said previously ,baking soda can be harsh on skin. 
Tip 3. If you have any open pimples ,it might burn a little ,but not for too long .If it continues rinse it off Asap with cold water.
Tip 4. Avoid using this too often , 2-3 times a week is good enough.
Tip 5.If you have severe acne ,and this doesn't work,and nothing at allll works for you ,then i would recommend trying - A- Ret (Tretinoin ) . My sister has tried this and it worked really well for her.Research it .
